Erik currently serves as a lecturer at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and he has previously served as a Visiting Scholar at Leiden University. He has authored academic papers in journals, such as Asian Security, and presented numerous papers at the various conferences of the International Studies Association. At the Centre for Regional Integration, Erik is seeking to explore African regional integration in a comparative perspective.
Outside of his interest in regional integration and previously published research, Erik is actively exploring the relationship between technology and world politics. He teaches a university course on this topic, alongside others.
