Adit Rastogi is a second-year Ph.D. candidate in International Relations and Political Science, currently based in Beijing, China. His academic expertise centers on the intersection of foreign aid, global financial governance, and international development, with a regional focus on Laos and Southeast Asia. Adit’s current research critically investigates the political and economic implications of aid and concessional lending from major international financial institutions such as the World Bank, IMF, ADB, and AIIB. His work explores the extent to which these interventions promote sustainable development or reinforce structural dependencies in recipient states.
As a research expert on Laos, Adit is currently engaged in field-based studies examining the operational dynamics of INGOs and their long-term influence on educational equity and institutional autonomy. His broader interests lie in rethinking global aid mechanisms through the lens of international political economy and postcolonial statecraft.
Adit welcomes collaboration on projects related to global governance, South-South cooperation, and the evolving role of multilateral institutions in the Global South. For research inquiries or professional opportunities, he can be reached via email.
